Can Guinea Pigs Eat Blueberries?

Yes, guinea pigs can eat fresh blueberries occasionally as a treat. Limit it to a couple of berries at a time, as blueberries are high in sugar and must never replace leafy greens and vegetables in their diet.

Benefits of Blueberries for Guinea Pigs

  • Highly nutritious treat — Blueberries are rich in antioxidants that help protect guinea pigs from cell damage.
  • Good source of vitamin C — Required daily as guinea pigs do not make their own vitamin C. Supports immune health and prevents scurvy.
  • Tasty and well-liked — Most guinea pigs enjoy the sweet flavour, making blueberries an easy healthy snack.
