Can Guinea Pigs Eat Radishes?

Guinea Pigs can eat radishes but they are quite high in oxalates so should be given as a treat now and again. Radish leaves can also be eaten but these have a high calcium content and should be given sparingly as too much of this mineral in your cavy's diet can contribute to bladder stones, a common complaint in guinea pigs.

Radishes are a root vegetable and come in many different varieties, colours and sizes as well and in different strengths.

Your guinea pigs will probably prefer the milder versions but don't despair if they won't eat them - many cavies dislike the taste of the radish itself but will eat the leaves.
